Ballet Bugs is a pre-school ballet class for children aged from 18 months and over. The aim is to foster a love of ballet while enjoying the many benefits of dancing:

The early development of these skills will stay with your little one always, regardless of whether they wish to pursue dancing beyond their time at Ballet Bugs.
Class Age Groups:
Ages 18 Months – 3 Years
A parent/guardian participates at times or however much your little dancer needs.
Caterpillars is the perfect introduction to dancing, hopefully building a love for it early on. We work towards our first balletic movements such as galloping, twirling, being on tiptoes, jumping, etc., while also dancing with lots of props for fun, engagement and sensory education. We also practice some early disciplines like sitting on our spot, waiting for our turn or tidying up our props after we have used them.
Ages 3 -5 Years
A parent/guardian watches their little dancer or drops them off.
In Butterflies we explore more complex ballet terminology/movement such as skipping, balancing on one leg, positions of the arms and feet, etc. We also start to learn short dances which we perform in class or in our watching week at the end of term.
A parent/guardian drops off their little dancer.
When your little dancer reaches the end of their ‘Ballet Bugs’ journey, they can move up into the Sunflower Academy. We work on a mixture of syllabus, free and performance material, while continuing to explore more advanced terminology/movements suited to each age group as they grow!
*please note this timetable is for Summer 2022. The Autumn one will be posted soon with updated classes. If you wish to register your interest, please use the contact form to send your little dancer’s age and your preferred day/venue.
